WELCOME!

Sawubona!  Howzit!  Hello!  We are Jeremiah and Amy von Kühn, sinners saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah grew up in Connecticut, studied at Clemson University in South Carolina, worked in North Carolina for about two years and has been serving Christ in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa since January 2009.

Amy grew up in Rhode Island, studied at Cedarville University in Ohio and taught in Thailand for two and half years, before she married Jeremiah and moved to South Africa in September 2012.

Why are we in South Africa?

In God the Father’s unfathomable love, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ into the world to accomplish the salvation of everyone who repents and trusts in Him.  Jesus lived a perfectly obedient life on our behalf and died on the cross in our place for our sins.  Three days later, He rose from the dead proving that His sacrifice for sin was accepted by the Father and that He is Lord over all.  By the Spirit’s work in our hearts, we’ve been convicted that we are sinners who deserve God’s judgment and that Jesus is our only, all-sufficient Saviour and Lord.

At the cross, Jesus bore the penalty we deserve for our sin.  In Christ, God treats us the way His eternal Son whom He loves deserves to be treated.  God’s grace in Christ is truly amazing!

We’re in South Africa to make our Lord Jesus Christ known!

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” (Galatians 6:14).

Anxiety, sickness, suffering, or danger, now and then, with a foregoing of the common conveniences and charities of this life, may make us pause, and cause the spirit to waver, and the soul to sink; but let this only be for a moment. All these are nothing when compared with the glory which shall be revealed in and for us.  I never made a sacrifice.”

David Livingstone, Pioneer missionary to Africa, 1813-1873
